schedules key capabilities billing target date users can specify a future date as the billing target date for recurring billing schedules, similar to the existing functionality for on demand billing schedules flexible date options users can set the billing target date to any date before or after the job execution date the available options for the term dimension are days, months, quarters, and years user interface enhancements the billing target date field is now exposed in the ui when creating a recurring billing schedule users will see a message displaying the first job execution date and its corresponding billing target date automatic updates the dates in the message are dynamically updated based on the target date setting and the schedule setting changes to the timezone, billing schedule start date, and the configured schedule will automatically update the first job execution date and the first billing target date this feature is particularly beneficial for businesses that can now apply credit memos over an invoice to offset the invoice balance directly on the invoice detail page this enhancement streamlines the process of managing invoice balances and ensures accurate financial records supported use cases partially apply credit memos users can partially apply credit memos to invoices, allowing for flexible balance adjustments fully apply credit memos users can credit memos custom fields as billing group attributes this feature allows the use of custom fields as billing group attributes, providing greater flexibility for our customers to group their invoices based on specific business needs key capabilities custom field grouping users can now set custom fields of the billing asset (subscription, asset, entitlement) as the grouping field when configuring billing groups field syncing custom fields created in salesforce can be synced to nue, making them available for grouping invoices error handling if custom fields with the same api name but different types are created across subscription, asset, and entitlement, they will not be selectable as grouping fields, ensuring data consistency field persistence once a custom field is used as a billing group attribute, it will remain in nue even if removed from the field set in salesforce important notes custom fields must have the same api name across subscription, asset, and entitlement to be used as grouping fields changes to custom fields will not sync to nue if there are draft invoices for the associated billing assets this feature will significantly improve the invoicing process for our account to the customer object this feature enhances the synchronization of account fields from salesforce to the customer object in nue this update ensures that more comprehensive customer data is available directly within nue, improving performance and reducing reliance on salesforce for customer information key enhancements expanded field synchronization additional fields from salesforce accounts are now synchronized to the customer object in nue this includes fields such as account name, billing address, shipping address, tax exempt status, payment terms, and more improved performance by storing more customer data directly in nue, we reduce the need for frequent graphql queries to salesforce, enhancing the performance of billing processes and other customer related operations payment rules enhancement we add the ability to configure payment rules using customer/sales account fields enhanced customer list view it displays customer data columns synced from nue in the customer list view customer event notifications it enables real time notification delivery for customer related events user scenarios sales representatives when activating an order, all major fields of the associated account (sales and billing) will be synchronized to nue, ensuring accurate and complete customer information revops managers customer data stored in nue will be displayed on the customer list page, and any updates made in salesforce will be automatically synchronized to nue developers webhook endpoints can now be registered to subscribe to customer related events, statuses across different external system types, improving clarity and user experience in managing transfers the external system column now displays icons based on the external system type, including salesforce, stripe, quickbooks, and custom transaction types like business central the icons indicate the transfer status (transferred, not transferred) with specific color codes for each status \# # integrations cancellation date support for gl and revenue recognition integrations we are introducing support for cancellation dates in orders and invoices to improve accuracy and reliability when syncing with downstream systems this enhancement ensures that cancellations are properly recorded in the correct accounting periods for both general ledger (gl) and revenue recognition purposes key capabilities new cancellation date field added to orders, invoices, and credit memos automatic population of cancellation date when transactions are canceled updated integration behavior with rightrev to use cancellation dates enhanced salesforce synchronization for canceled transactions migration notes for existing canceled transactions (orders, invoices, and credit memos) in nue, the cancellation date will be automatically set to the last modified date of the transaction \# # bug fixes \# # lifecycle manager can't save new quote after changing the “ship to” address when the state and country picklists are enabled in salesforce, users were unable to save a new quote after changing the shipping address to another state within the us this issue has been resolved users can now successfully save new quotes when modifying the shipping address quote to order conversion plugin doesn’t fire when finalizing a change quote with quote split enabled previously, customers who implemented the quote to order conversion plugin experienced issues with quantities not being zeroed out as expected when using the quote split feature the bug has been resolved, ensuring that the plugin now correctly fires when finalizing a change quote with the quote split feature enabled \# # everything billing issue with syncing invoice updates to salesforce after exposing formula fields to nue there was an issue where syncing invoice updates to salesforce would fail if the invoice contained a custom formula field this error occurred because the field was not editable, causing the sync process to halt with this fix, the system will no longer attempt to sync custom fields that are not updatable to salesforce this ensures that the invoice sync process completes successfully without errors text area field is not visible on invoice ui previously, users encountered an issue where the 'additional comments' text area field was not visible in the invoice details view this issue has been addressed in this release users can now see and access the field value directly within the general tab of the invoice details view issue with syncing new invoices to new stripe account when switching to a new stripe account, new invoices for existing customers could not be synced to the new stripe account this issue occurred because the system was not correctly handling the customer mappings after the switch we have resolved the issue by updating the system to correctly handle customer mappings when switching to a new stripe account this ensures that new invoices for existing customers are now properly synced to the new stripe account without any manual intervention \# # patch release 2501 0 1 scheduled on tuesday, 01/28/2025 bug fixes in patch release 2501 0 1 customer metadata syncing feature issue occasionally, customer records were synchronized to nue with duplicate entries this issue, which intermittently occurred since release 2501, also caused orders to display duplicate records the issue has now been resolved discount tag of bundle propagation issue the change on the discount tag of bundle now propagates correctly to add on intermittent component error the intermittent component error was displayed on the quote's general information page this issue was resoled product relationship data migration the previous product relationship based on product id has been successfully migrated to use the product sku, which uniquely identifies each product and supports export and import functionality after the data migration, there wouldn't be errors when editing a pre existing product relationship dynamic options error the regression issue where dynamic options error out with max quantity and empty query has been resolved
