this guide is for sales representatives and other users who submit records (quotes, opportunities, orders) for approval overview as a submitter, you're responsible for preparing records with complete and accurate information submitting records when they're ready for approval monitoring approval status responding to feedback or rejection reasons resubmitting after making requested changes submitting a record for approval step 1 ensure record is ready before submitting, verify all required fields are populated pricing is correct and validated discount amounts are within guidelines (or justified) customer information is accurate products/line items are complete any supporting documents are attached step 2 click submit for approval open the record (quote, opportunity, etc ) locate the submit for approval button click the button step 3 review submission details a dialog may appear showing which approval process will run who will be notified expected approval steps click confirm to proceed step 4 confirmation after successful submission record status changes to pending record may become locked (not editable) approver(s) receive notification you receive confirmation email checking approval status using the approval history component on the record page, find the approval history component this shows current status (pending, approved, rejected) each approval step and its records section view all records you've submitted that are pending recalling a submission if you need to make changes to a pending record step 1 open the record navigate to the record that's pending approval step 2 click recall find the recall button in the approval component click recall enter a reason for recall (optional but recommended) confirm the action what happens after recall record status changes from pending to recalled record is unlocked (editable again) pending approvals are cancelled approvers are notified of the recall you can make changes and resubmit when to recall you
