Product Groups
A Product Group is used to group related products together within a bundle, and can be used to guide the quoting process. This feature is a good a good way to organize a large set of related products, as well as to define simple product selection options.
For example, in your Product Bundle, if you want only one of two options to be selected for a specific set of products, you can use Product Groups to easily define the minimum and maximum number of products that can be selected.
Product Groups can simplify the sales process and help to make more effective decisions when recommending products to customers.
Step 1: Create a Product Bundle
Before creating a Product Group, create your Product Bundle (see the Product Bundle tutorial).
Step 2: Create a Product Group
In step two of creating a product bundle, ‘Product Options’, click on the + icon in the tabs to create a new Product Group.
The first pop-up you will see is the option to select from a list of existing Product Groups.
You can choose to select an existing one, or create a New Product Group. When creating a new Product Group, give it a name, and define the minimum and maximum number of products that can be selected within this group.
