Session Settings
Session timeout is a critical security feature that exists in web applications and systems to protect user privacy and prevent unauthorized access. A "session" refers to the period during which a user interacts with a system, starting from the login moment. The session timeout is a pre-set duration for which a user's session remains active. After this specified period of inactivity, the system automatically logs out the user to prevent unauthorized access and secure sensitive information.
In Nue, users can customize session timeout to match their security policies and preferences. You can choose from timeout durations of the following options:
- 15 Minutes
- 30 Minutes
- 1 Hour
- 90 Minutes
- 2 Hours
Please follow the instructions below to set the session timeout duration:
- Go to Nue System Setting → Security
- Under Session Settings, you will see the session timeout duration set in your organization. By default, user sessions expire in 15 minutes.
- Choose the duration of the session timeout and the changes will be saved automatically.
- Logging out and logging back in is required for changes to take effect.
NOTE
Please note that this is a company-wide setting, and any changes will affect all users.
