Manage Filters
In the Line Editor of a quote, users can create filters using Nue's rich filter builder and share the filters with other users. With different permissions, users can create and manage their own filters, or manage filters created by other users in the organization. This document walks you through how to create and manage filters. Filters are important building blocks in Nue. You can use filter builders to create, manage, and share filters in the Line Editor and Lifecycle Manager as well.

Create and Manage Filters
Users can use the filter builder in the Product Selector to create and manage filters of the products. Users can:
- Create new filters to organize and view products based on specific criteria.
- Edit existing filters to update the criteria or change the filter settings.
- Delete filters that are no longer needed or relevant.
- Share filters with other users in the organization to ensure consistency and collaboration.
- Apply filters to quickly find and manage products within the Product Selector.
Users can view and use filters created by themselves or created by others (e.g., system admins). Filters owned by the current users are displayed in Teal color, followed by filters owned by other users, displayed in Purple. Only users with "Edit Nue Custom Filter" permission can update the filters owned by other users, and users with "Delete Nue Custom Filter" permission can delete the filters owned by other users. This ensures that in case a user leaves the organization, admin users can clean up filters created by inactive users.
The following video demonstrates how to create and manage filters of the product selector.
