Overview

When creating a primary quote, Nue will sync the quote and line items to the associated opportunity by default. Sometimes, you may want to leave the opportunity as is for other business purposes. In this tutorial, we will walk through how you can control the process of syncing primary quotes to opportunities.

 

Sync Primary Quote to Opportunity

Nue leverages the Salesforce flow to sync primary quotes to the associated opportunities, after you install Nue on Salesforce package to your org, you can see a pre-built flow 'Update Opportunity Pricing Fields' in your flow list, this flow will copy all pricing-related fields from the primary quote to the opportunity.

 

 

This flow is activated by default, if you don't want to override the opportunity from any primary quotes, you can deactivate it and no fields will be synced anymore.

Nue will sync pricing-related fields only, if you need to sync other fields, you can change the synced fields from the flow builder, and save the change to a separate flow.

 

 

Sync Primary Quote Line Items to Opportunity Products

Nue will also sync primary quote line items to the associated opportunity products, you can configure the settings from Nue System Settings page:

 

 

When 'Sync primary quote line items to opportunity products' is turned on, all the line items of the primary quote will be synced to the non-closed opportunity as opportunity products.

You can also choose to sync the primary quote line items to a closed opportunity by turning on 'Sync primary quote line items for closed opportunity' based on your business requirement.
